About

Hi!

My name is Grace. I was raised in Western Massachusetts, moved to NYC in 2011, but finally moved to Montclair, NJ a few years back. These days I split most of my time between Montclair and Manhattan.

I've lived a strange path career-wise; I left college at an art school in Manhattan to become a public speaker at colleges around North America and Europe for one of my photography projects.  I was really able to experience life at a young age and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity.  After 3 years of constant traveling, I decided  I was ready to settle down and finally (finally!) make photography my full time gig.

The reason why I love my job so much is because I love people so much. I'm notorious in my friend group for not being able to go anywhere without making friends with a stranger or running into someone I already know. And, to be totally honest, if I could talk to people for 24 hours a day, I would. (My roommates and significant others have all been saints for their patience in that regard.)

I am endlessly fascinated by humans - how we love, how we interact, how we exist in general. My aim in my work is to capture the essence of that, to capture the essence of a person or a family or a love, without being intrusive (and hopefully still making friends in strangers).

I'd love to set up a time to speak - please feel free to email me at gracebrownphoto@gmail.com or contact me at 413-335-1635.

Portrait sessions being at $275.

Wedding collections begin at $3400.
