I first began my photography journey as a bored teenager in suburban Massachusetts, dying to get out of my hometown. I moved to NYC for college (School of Visual Arts), but within two months of arriving I created a project giving voices to survivors of abuse, which took on a life of its own. I decided to take a leap and leave school to travel and speak at colleges about the project for the next four years. Finally, being on the road for so long, I decided to settle down in New Jersey and open my business in 2014. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in all different facets of the industry - weddings, family portraits, corporate work, musicians + other artists, start-ups, non-profits, business headshots, interior design, and even a life-changing summer camp for low-income, high-performing students. I’ve found that keeping a broad range of work helps me learn and perfect different skills that I can use for any shoot I’m on. My work has developed me as a human and guided me towards some of the best, most incredible experiences and people in my life. When I’m not photographing, I’m usually found in the sun, with my favorite people, drinking rose. (Unless it’s winter and then I’m hiding indoors watching a little too much television.)
My main focus is visual storytelling - to tell the story of your wedding day through images taken in a candid and photojournalistic manner. My photos are generally in the style of how I personally am viewing your day and connecting to you, your family, and your friends. I will definitely cry at the toasts and my favorite part of the day is hearing your vows to each other. It’s a privilege and honor to watch someone commit to evolve, love, create, falter, and celebrate with someone, and it’s not something I take lightly.
